The Van Eaton & Romero iPhone website is specifically designed for the iPhone device. It allows users access to listings in the full MLS in a condensed format without the loss of detail. If this is your first time using an iPhone on this site, remember that there are some things to know when browsing sites. The iPhone doesn't allow for you to close applications lauched from the site such as the Google Maps. When clicking to view the map of a property, the maps application will open. Press the Menu button on the bottom of your iPhone to redirect to the Main Menu and click on the Safari link to go back to the iPhone site. This is only when things such as the maps application or Phone dialer open and there is no close button available.
Searches can be done by clicking one of the search options available to you (Residential, Multi-Family, Commercial or Land). Once the search screen opens, enter the criteria for the properties you wish to see. If you know the MLS number for a particular listing or street address you may enter it into the MLS/Address criteria option and if a single listing is found, it will open up automatically.
Results open once a search is conducted. Results are limited to 4 listings per page. Click the listing image box to view details of the property. To view the next set of results click the associated forward and back buttons next to the page numbers to move forward or back in the result set. Your current page is displayed at the top of the page eg. Page 2 of 10.
The property home page gives you a brief description of the property as well as images of the property with navigation buttons to scroll through these images. Below the images there is the option to view more details of the property to get comprehensive details on the property, a mapping option and a call agent option. You will also find a link to view the full listing information on the Van Eaton & Romero standard website.
The extended property detail page gives you a break down of all the property details such as the construction type, approximate age, additional remarks, amenities and more. Click the Back button at the top of the page to return to the Property Home page.
On every page besides the home page and help page, you will see a black toolbar at the top of the page, this toolbar allows you to redirect to various sections of the system. Clicking either the Residential, Commercial or Land buttons will redirect you to the search page for those options. Clicking home will take you back to the home page, and clicking Results will display the last set of results you searched for. Please note that if you had no results returned, clicking the Results button will display no listings on the page.
Throughout the system, you will see different links available to you on the site. These have different options on the site. The first type of link will be to view further information and will redirect you to a new web page for the site or perhaps and external link. Another type of link is a contact link. Contact links are telephone numbers or a telephone button which when clicked will activate the iPhone call option to place a call to the telephone number. The last type of link available is a mapping link. This will automatically open up the native iPhone map tool and attempt to pin point the location of a desired listing. Use the standard built in iPhone map tools to utilize things such as saving a pin location for future or getting directions for a property from your current location.
